- I bought a Cybervision 64 2meg board for my A4000/25 so that I could
- cruise the net faster. Problem is, the computer keeps crashing randomly
- with an 8000 0004 guru almost every time. I sent my board back to
- Softwood here in the States and they sent me another one and it's
- doing the same thing.
-
- The tech guy at Softwood said my board was working fine in his system
- and said that HE ALSO had a Buster 9 in his Amiga.
-
- The Buster chip in my computer is soldered DIRECTLY to the motherboard
- and has a small wire jumper on pin 2 to pin 11 I think.
-
- Someone mentioned here that some of the older Amigas had timing problems
- with the buss and that it wouldn't make any difference to change to a
- Buster 11. Changing a surface mounted IC is something I don't wish to
- have to try myself and the cheapest I can have it done for is $200.
-
- Would this be worth it or would I be wasting my money for nothing?
- Is there someone who can fix the timing problems as well?
-
- I really like the way the board performs before it crashes and I hate
- to think I would have to get a new motherboard for big bucks to fix it.
-
- Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks,
- MDEVOE
